The safety and well-being of every pupil at Samuel Pepys School is paramount. We are committed to safeguarding all our pupils and to a culture of care, trust and vigilance. Safeguarding procedures and training are provided for paid, unpaid, permanent and temporary staff, governors and volunteers.
The school IT systems and users are protected from accidental or deliberate misuse that could put our pupils at risk.
We follow the procedures set out by the Cambridgeshire Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB)
The Designated Senior Member of staff for Child Protection is Joanne Hardwick, Head Teacher
The following senior members of staff have also received the Designated Person Child Protection training: Penny Kirkpatrick, Deputy Head Teacher and Helen Thompson, Play Therapist
The Governor whose responsibility to monitor safeguarding is Anne McCormick.
